Lawyer Convicted of Murdering Wife Files Lawsuit Claiming Former Firm Owes Him Money

Perry March

Weeks after being convicted of killing his wife, former Nashville lawyer Perry March filed a lawsuit from jail Thursday arguing that his former law firm may owe him "a substantial sum of money."

The suit, filed in Davidson County Chancery Court, names several lawyers who formerly worked with him, including his former father-in-law, Lawrence Levine.

March was convicted of killing Levine's daughter, Janet Levine March. He was also convicted of plotting to kill Levine and his wife Carolyn while he was awaiting trial for murder, and of stealing $24,000 from the firm.

The 45-year-old disbarred lawyer will be sentenced for all the crimes Sept. 6.
