Bush Proterstors File Lawsuit Over McLennan County Ordinances

Three war protesters filed a federal lawsuit Monday in Waco challenging two new McLennan County ordinances that ban roadside camping countywide and roadside parking in a large area around the President’s ranch. The three claim the ordinances infringe on their right to protest.

The suit seeks unspecified damages and an injunction to block enforcement of the ordinances, which county leaders say were intended to prevent another traffic nightmare such as the one that developed in August when Cindy Sheehan began her roadside vigil, demanding a meeting with the vacationing President.
