Lawyer Accused in Bucks Swingers Club Case Hospitalized

A Bucks County [PA] lawyer who is accused of hiring a hit man to kill the owner of a house where he wanted to open a suburban swingers club has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

Joseph Guarrasi, 38, was released on bail last week and approved for release on the condition that he enter treatment in Northeast Philadelphia hospital.

Bucks County prosecutors believe Guarrasi wanted to invite swingers to use the home at 1501 Lower State Road and that he had taken over Michael Samios' home on North Street in Doylestown, where he intended to start a bordello.

Samios instead went to police, who wiretapped his conversations with Guarrasi.

Guarrasi is charged with solicitations to commit homicide, aggravated assault, insurance fraud, burglary, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and kidnapping, as well as attempts to commit homicide, aggravated assault, insurance fraud, burglary, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment.
