Many of us have horror stories about dealing with the local department of motor vehicles. But Harold Link�s tale includes a two-year court battle and an attempt to suspend his law license over his conduct.

Normally, when grievances arise about lawyers� professional behavior, the issue involves their actions in court or how they handled a client�s money. Link�s case stemmed from a confrontation with Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration employee Wilbert Myles, and hinged on the question of whether the incident involved professional conduct at all.
