Judge Held in Prostitution Solicitation Sting

A veteran Alameda County [Calif.] judge was arrested by Oakland police during a decoy sting targeting customers who solicit prostitutes, police said Saturday.

Police Chief Richard Word said Superior Court Judge Jack Gifford, 76, of Oakland was arrested on Wednesday night during the decoy operation on San Pablo Avenue, several blocks north of downtown.
