At an 11:00 a.m. hearing, San Francisco Superior Court Judge Quidachay refused to hear the matter, finding that the moving party had not given sufficient notice of the hearing to the City. He continued the hearing until this Friday, February 20.
At a 2:00 p.m. hearing on a separate petition, Judge Warren ruled that while the City's actions likely violated state law, he would not order the City to stop immediately, but instead ordered the City to return to court March 29 to show cause why it should not be ordered to stop.
Meanwhile, the weddings across the street at City Hall continue.
