Retired NC Judge May Lose Benefits Over Harassment

(GREENSBORO) - A former Guilford County judge is in danger of losing his retirement benefits following substantiated claims by two women that he touched and hugged them inappropriately.

The Judicial Standards Commission says District Court Judge William Daisy "hugged, touched and engaged in physical contact" that was unwanted and uninvited by the women.

Also, Daisy admits that in September 2003, he sent e-mails with off-color and sexually oriented jokes to friends and colleagues from his office. He says he also sent e-mails of cartoons depicting sexual acts.

Daisy remained on the bench until he retired August 30th.
