Two Views of the War in Iraq

Thanks to Jim Romenesko at Poynteronline for bringing this to my attention: On December 23, The Washington Post published side-by-side profiles of Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz and retired four-star Marine Corps General Anthony Zinni, who until three years ago was head of the U.S. Central Command, which covers the Middle East, including Iraq. Wolfowitz is one of the architects of the war, while Zinni thinks it is a big mistake. Both profiles were written by Post journalist Thomas E. Ricks. They make pretty compelling reading.
