As O'Connor Votes, So Tilts The Supreme Court

This interesting article from The Christian Science Monitor discusses the increasing influence that Justice Sandra Day O'Connor has at the Supreme Court. With four conservative and four liberal members, O'Connor is the Court's tie breaking vote, and this term she was in the majority in all thirteen of the Court's 5 to 4 decisions. That's pretty remarkable.

Also remarkable is that the article quotes both Thomas Goldstein of SCOTUSblog ("She is the most powerful woman in the history of the universe") and O'Connor's former clerk, UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh of The Volokh Conspiracy - who run two of my favorite blogs.
