This is great news. It will be interesting to see if it works:
A trio of Boston lawyers are founding Lowrie, Lando & Anastasi LLP, a law firm which aims to ease the damage to associates' personal lives, the Boston Globe reports.
The three, formerly partners with intellectual property firm Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, have already brought eight associates aboard with the promise that they will require first-year lawyers to bill only 1,600 hours per year in exchange for their $116,000 salaries, just $1,000 less than the Boston large firm average.
Matthew Lowrie, Peter Lando, and John Anastasi say their firm plans to expand to 20 or 25 employees by December.
