Bingham McCutchen Grows Again

L.A.'s Riordan & McKinzie, a 60-lawyer corporate boutique long in the market for a merger partner, is being swallowed by Bingham McCutchen, the firms announced Tuesday.

The move instantly doubles the size of Bingham's Southern California footprint and is designed to bolster the firm's transactional practice in the region.

It was a year ago to the day that Boston's Bingham Dana merged with San Francisco's McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen (where this author once toiled) to create Bingham McCutchen. And prior to that, Bingham Dana had been on a merger and acquisition spree for some time. The Recorder has the details here.
