It's not as salacious as I'd hoped, but:
While lawyers are paid to air other people's dirty laundry in court, a pair of Watertown law partners were in Dane County Circuit Court Monday to face charges relating to their own.
David "DOE" and Todd "ROE", both 40, who form the "ROE and DOE" law firm in Watertown, were arrested after Wisconsin's stellar 17-10 football victory over Ohio State in October when they were found nude in the laundry room of the Regent apartment building on Regent Street.
They were drying their rain-soaked clothes. The story is here from Madison, Wisconsin's The Capital Times.
UPDATE (Sept. 30, 2004): Yesterday I received a very nice email from the wife of Mr. "DOE," who asked if I would consider either deleting this post or at least removing the real names of her husband and his partner. It seems that they live in a small town and, while everyone there knows about this "incident," they are trying to put it behind them. She told me that if you Googled her husband's law firm, this post was the first result, which was embarrasing and potentially hurting their practice.
Since this post is almost a year old, since the story it linked to is long gone, and since the actual identities of the lawyers don't really make any difference to the story's humor, I decided to accomodate Mrs. "DOE" and replace their real names with ROE and DOE.
